TAI BRANHAM DORSEY

Tai Branham Dorsey was blessed to be born to the parentage of Donald and Evet on November 3, 1979, in Dayton Ohio. She is preceded in death by her grandmothers Frances M. Strode, and Virginia Bazile.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her mother, Evet Metcalf, her father Donald Dorsey, her sister and brother-in-law, Korrine and Stuart Kirschenbaum; her niece Riley Kirschenbaum, her aunts, Lynn McKoy, Terri Strode, Jacquline Dorsey, her uncles Raymond McKoy , David Dorsey and her best friend Kita Hobbs and Tai’s godchild London Hobbs.

Tai Branham Dorsey, a wonderful woman, daughter, sister, aunt and nurse. Her life’s work proved her dedication to helping sick people get better and to save lives. Smart, quick witted and an avid Practitioner of her Profession, Nursing! Tai attended and graduated from Lewisville High School, Lewisville Texas in 1998. Tai continued her education at Texas Woman’s University and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing in 2003. Tai went on to become an Intensive Care, Neo-natal Cardiac Nurse in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Texas area for 15 years. After this Tai became a travel nurse and worked in various cities across the United States. Tai eventually chose New York to be her travel base. Her family tried to stop her from working during the peak of Covid April 2020. She said no “we save lives!”

Tai loved to live life to the fullest. Her favorite hobbies were shopping and traveling. She never met a stranger. She had a kind and generous spirit and was always happy in spite of the excruciating pain she felt so very often due to having sickle cell.

Tai’s assignment was to help save lives. She has completed her assignment. She would say after she completed her shift, “I am now O DOUBLE F.”

Celebration of Life, Saturday, September 2, 2023, 12:00 noon, Precious Memories Mortuary, 803 S. Cedar Ridge Drive, Duncanville, Texas 75137.  And she She rest until the redeemer returns at Laurel Land Memorial Park - Dallas, Texas.
