The celebration of life honoring Mrs. Annie Lee Morris, will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of New Elizabeth Baptist Church, 2332 Jewella Avenue.
Mrs. Morris will rest in the gardens of Carver Cemetery. Mrs. Morris will lie in state on Friday between the hours of 12:00 noon to 7:00 p.m. at Precious Memories Mortuary.
Obituary
The legacy of Annie Lee Morris began when she was born to Andrew Baylock and Rosie A. Anderson on July 16, 1950. She departed this life on January 21, 2019.
Annie Lee accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Ebenezer Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Joe Holmes. She was educated in the Caddo Parish School System.
Annie Lee enjoyed spending time with friends and family. Her door was always open to anyone in need. She raised not only her nine children but countless others. There was always room at her table for everyone. She loved music, good food, and fellowship.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 children: David Spencer, Johnny J. Morris, Andrew P. Morris, and Jackie Ray Morris, and 3 sisters: Willie Mae Anderson, Dorothy Jean Crocklin, and Mae Beth Anderson.
Annie Lee leaves to cherish her memories five children: Stephanie S. Anderson (Eric), LarShandra M. Davenport (Lloyd), Renita M. Davis (Paxton), Malcolm J. Morris (Kimberly), and Jalisa J. Morris all of Shreveport LA; four sisters: Betty Ann Witherspoon (Ben), Rose M. Jackson, Susie Ann Anderson, and Delores Baylock; 1 brother: Milton Baylock (Cassandra); 21 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
