With the heaviest of hearts, we pause to honor the life of a man who was known for positively influencing those near and dear to him. He never met a stranger. Harrison has peacefully departed this earth as of February 19, 2025, at the age of 76. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and resident of Atlanta, GA until his recent move to Midlothian, TX to share he last days with his beloved family. He attended Xavier University Preparatory High School and Xavier University of New Orleans. Harrison was known for his wittiness, passion for music, tennis and loved to cook. Harrison was a dedicated professional, who worked for Bell South as a cable splicer for nearly 30 years, and with Sprint Alcatel as a technology specialist thereafter. He is preceded in death by his father, Harrison Cosey, Sr., his mother, Lucille Minor Cosey, his brothers Samuel Cosey, Sr., Nelson E. Cosey, Sr., and Donald W. Cosey. He is survived by brothers Marion J. Cosey, Freddie D. Cosey, Sr. And Stanley Cosey (Neffatina), sisters, Florence Cosey Terrell (Charley), and Barbara Cosey Brumfield. He was the beloved and devoted father of Chevelle Jude Cosey (Ebony) and daughter Dr. Lisa Cosey Hunt (Kevin Sr.), grandfather of Kevin J. Hunt, Jr. (La'Mitria), Hailey E. Hunt and Kelsey E Cosey, great-grandfather of Kameron J. Hunt and Ariah A. Hunt, godfather of Kristin Simmons (James), and a host of adored nieces and nephews.
