The celebration of life honoring Mr. Edward Ball will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of of Mount Nebo Baptist Church, with Pastor Paul Marshall officiating.
Mr. Ball will lie in state on Friday between the hours of 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m. Mr. Ball will rest in the gardens of Burns Cemetery, Haughton, Louisiana.
On February 18, 1954, in Haughton, Louisiana, Mr. Edward Ball was born to
Lonnie C. Ball, Sr., and Ressie Hollingsworth-Ball.
His faith and commitment to his personal Lord and Savior were evident at an
early age. Edward was baptized under the leadership of Reverend Jackson at the
Jordan Temple Baptist Church.
In 1972, Edward graduated from Haughton High School and later was united
in Holy Matrimony to Carolyn F. Ball in 1974. To this union, two daughters
were born.
In 1983, Edward began his lifetime career at Frymaster Corporation for several
years. Apart from work, Edward was a great father and provider. Most of all, he
enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie C. Ball, Sr. and Ressie
Hollingsworth-Ball; three brothers, John Kelly, Lonnie C. Ball, Jr., and Rufus
L. Hollingsworth Ball; and one sister, Janice Kelly.
Forever rejoicing his life are: three daughters, Nawara S. Ball, Raqueshia Y. Ball,
both of Shreveport, LA, and Roshonda Betford (Darryl) of Dallas, TX; special
daughters, Lakisha Venious and Shantee Venious, both of Bossier City, LA, and
Yolanda Bell of Shreveport, LA; one sister, Mary Ball-Davis (John) of Bossier
City, LA; two brothers, Wilford Ball, Sr. (Gloria) of Bossier City, LA, and Willie
Ball of Los Angeles, CA; a special friend, Shirley Walker of Shreveport, LA; ten
grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins,
other special family members, and friends
