Mr. Alvon "Rabbit" Robinson, Sr. Obituary
The celebration of life honoring Mr. Alvon "Rabbit" Robinson, Sr. will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the sanctuary of Fairfield United Methodist Church, with Pastor Danny Nedd officiating.
Mr. Robinson will rest in the gardens of Zion Rest Cemetery. Mr. Robinson will lie in state from 12:00 noon to 7:00 p.m., at Precious Memories Mortuary.
“ Our Daddy”
Alvon Robinson was born on March 15, 134 in Keithville, Louisiana to the late Arthur and Lula Robinson. Our daddy confessed to Christ at an early age at the McDonald United Methodist Church.
Our daddy met and married the love of his life, our momma, Lillie Lewis Robinson, who preceded him in death August 2001. There married September 8, 1955, to this loving union, four children were born, all in August in the years of 1960, 1963, 1964, and 1965.
Together, Team Robinson raised their children, grandchildren, worked most of all they served faithfully in the church on different auxiliaries. Daddy also retired from L.S.U.S IN 1994.
Our family transferred from McDonald United Methodist Church to Jewella United Methodist Church and then to Fairfield United Methodist Church until his health started dwindling and final answering his call from his Heavenly Father on Monday morning January 28, 2019 at approximately 6:00 a.m.
Our daddy is preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife of 55 years (at the time of her death) Lillie Lewis Robinson; his first born child, Alvon, Jr., 2 grandsons, Roderick and Jeremy; 1 great-grandson LaDarrius; 3 sisters, Emma, Lizzy, and Susie and 2 brothers, Arthur and Wesley.
Upon transitioning over, our daddy leaves to carry on his legacy of love, three little “rabbits”, Twala, Valerie (Aaron) and Victor Robinson; 9 siblings, 14 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren (two of which are his namesakes, Alvon Robinson, III and Alvon Robinson, IV. He also leaves in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a multitude of caring and loving friends.
