A Reflection from the Life of Hubert Lee Jones

Brother Hubert Lee Jones was born March 11, 1955 to the union of Earnest Lee Jones and Mahalia B. Davis Jones. Hubert confessed Christ at an early age at Lake Bethlehem Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Joseph Martin. He attended and graduated from Green Oaks High school. He was in the first class of 1973 graduates who graduated from the new building.

He was united in Matrimony to Barbara Gardner on September 16, 1995. Together they raised five sons (Corey Hopkins, Jeremy (Jecura) Hopkins, Roderick (Jessica) Harris, Shadow (DeAnza) Gardner, and Demetrick (Katherine) Gardner and a daughter Mercedes. He leaves behind 19 grandchildren. Very special sons Alvin and Rodrick Hokins,

He precedes in death two sons Antonio and Demetric Jones. Hubert Lee Jones worked at Calvary Baptist Academy as a maintenance man for 16 years. He worked there until he became ill. He precedes in death by his mother Mahalia B. Davis Jones, his father Earnest Lee Jones, his sister Ella Mae Davis. He leaves to cherish his loving memories wife Barbara Gardner Jones, Five sons (Corey, Jeremy, Roderick, Shadow, and Demetrick) and only daughter (Merceded). Special sons Alvin and Rodrick Hopkins and 19 grandchildren. Along with a host of relatives and friends.
