Eric Raymon Jones

Eric Raymon Jones was born to the late Elder Willie Lee Jones, Jr. and Bessie D. Jones, on March 20, 1971, in Shreveport, Louisiana.

He confessed Christ as his personal Savior at an early age. He was baptized at Looney Street Church of God In Christ, under the leadership of the late Superintendent B.T. Kirkpatrick. This is where his-love for playing the drums began, He later joined Word of Faith COGIC, under the leadershi of his father Elder Willie Lee Jones Jr.

Eric grew up and was educated in the Caddo Parish School System. Eric attended Queeensborough Elementary, J S Clark Middle School, Booker T. Washington High School; and Southern University Baton Rouge. He excelled both Academically as well as Athletically in each one of these Institutions, earning him numerous Scholastic awards, Trophies, Certificates, Honorable mentions, and Medals to name a few.

Eric married Ella Francis, to this union no children were born, but he was father figure to her sons Jeremy and Jeffery Francis during their marriage.

Eric departed this life on October 13, 2019 at Willis Knighton Hospital North comforted by his family. Eric is preceded in death by his father; both paternal and maternal grandparents.

Eric will leave to cherish his memories: his mother Bessie D. Jones, brothers, Cedric (Shelia); Adrian, and Michael (Bertina), a special friend of many years Jeaneen Broughton, 6 Special Aunts, Special uncle, 11 nieces, 4 nephews, and a host of other relatives and close family friends
